The rules for using Lorikeet, including accounts, subscriptions, AI-generated content and acceptable use.
1. The Lorikeet service
Lorikeet is an Australian education platform that helps teachers, homeschool parents and education professionals generate curriculum-aligned lessons, worksheets, quizzes, reports, administrative documents, SEND supports and other teaching resources using AI.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
- You must provide accurate account information and keep login details secure.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You must not use Lorikeet to generate unlawful, harmful, discriminatory, abusive, infringing or misleading content.
- You must not attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls, billing controls or access restrictions.
- You must not upload malware, scrape the service, overload systems, reverse engineer restricted parts of the service, or use Lorikeet to build a competing dataset or model without permission.
3. Student data and school responsibilities
If you enter student information, you confirm you have authority to do so and that your use complies with your school, department, organisation, parent/guardian consent requirements and applicable law. Use only the minimum information needed. Sensitive tools such as Report Writer, Support Profile, Social Story and IEP Goal Generator are drafting aids only.
4. AI-generated content
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unsuitable or not fully aligned to a curriculum requirement.
- You must review, edit and verify outputs before classroom, parent, school, assessment or professional use.
- Lorikeet does not provide medical, psychological, legal, disability, safeguarding or professional curriculum authority advice.
- Curriculum alignment features are intended to assist planning, not replace teacher judgement or official curriculum guidance.
- Do not rely on Lorikeet to make decisions about diagnosis, disability adjustments, discipline, student placement, child safety or risk management.
5. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Free and Pro plan inclusions are shown on the pricing page and may change over time.
- Paid subscriptions are billed in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.
- A Pro subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel future renewals through the billing portal where available or by contacting support.
- Cancelling stops future renewal. Access may continue until the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise stated or required by law.
- Your Australian Consumer Law rights are not limited by these terms.
6. Your content and Lorikeet content
You retain rights in content you enter into Lorikeet. You grant Lorikeet the permission needed to process that content to provide, secure and improve the service. Subject to these terms, you may use generated teaching resources for your own classroom, homeschool or education work. Lorikeet branding, software, design, templates, prompts, systems and platform content remain owned by Lorikeet or its licensors.
7. Third-party services
Lorikeet uses third-party services such as hosting, authentication, payment and AI providers. Your use of payment services may also be subject to Stripe's terms. External links and third-party resources are provided for convenience and are not controlled by Lorikeet.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Lorikeet available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, improve, suspend or discontinue parts of the service, especially during beta and early launch.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lorikeet is not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, lost profits, lost data, school/parent disputes, or decisions made using unreviewed AI outputs.
10. Suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create security or legal risk, misuse student data, fail to pay subscription fees, or use the service in a way that may harm Lorikeet or others.
