Important guidance for using Lorikeet responsibly with student information, SEND supports, reports and AI-generated resources.

Lorikeet is a teacher-assist tool. It is not a substitute for professional judgement, school policy, official curriculum guidance, medical advice, psychological advice, legal advice or child safety processes.

1. Who Lorikeet is for

Lorikeet is designed for adults: teachers, homeschool parents, relief teachers, school leaders and education professionals. It is not intended for unsupervised direct use by children.

2. Student data principles

3. Tools needing extra care

Use particular care with Report Writer, Support Profile, Social Story, IEP Goal Generator, Risk Assessment and Policy Guide. These tools can create useful drafts, but outputs must be reviewed and adapted by a qualified adult who understands the student, school context and relevant policies.

4. AI safety statement

5. Training and data use

Lorikeet's policy is not to sell student information and not to use customer prompts, generated resources or student information to train Lorikeet-owned AI models without clear opt-in consent. Third-party AI providers process prompts to provide the requested output under their API terms and data handling settings.

6. School procurement
